1) Evolutionary Creation: A Christian Approach to Evolution

Denis O. Lamoureux – Associate Professor of Science and Religion at St. Joseph’s College (part of the University of Alberta) – presents the provocative book Evolutionary Creation: A Christian Approach to Evolution.  In this 2008 book, he proposes an approach that moves beyond the “evolution-versus-creation” debate and presents evolutionary creation (a position that asserts that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit created the universe and life through an ordained and sustained evolutionary process).  The book contains 85 illustrations that help to understand that God created all things.

2) The Edge of Evolution: The Search for the Limits of Darwinism

The Edge of Evolution: The Search for the Limits of Darwinism is Michael J. Behe’s (American biochemist, author, and intelligent design advocate) proof of the genetics revolution — the first direct evidence of nature’s mutational pathways.  This book is a must read for anyone interested in the creation/evolution/intelligent design controversy, or for evolutionary theory in general.

3) Not a Chance: God, Science, and the Revolt against Reason

Not a Chance: God, Science, and the Revolt against Reason challenges the scientific assumption that the universe is governed by chance.  It was written in 2014 by R. C. Sproul and Keith Mathison and is a readable, well researched, and compelling text.

4) Darwin’s Black Box: The Biochemical Challenge to Evolution

Michael J. Behe – Professor of Biological Sciences at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania – pens the extraordinary Darwin’s Black Box: The Biochemical Challenge to Evolution. This book was named to National Review’s list of the 100 most important nonfiction works of the twentieth century.  In it, Behe explains the Intelligent Design movement in depth. A bold and thoughtful book that takes the debate over evolution down to an entirely new level.

5) Darwin’s Doubt: The Explosive Origin of Animal Life and the Case for Intelligent Design

Darwin’s Doubt: The Explosive Origin of Animal Life and the Case for Intelligent Design, by Stephen C. Meyer challenges the neo-Darwinian view of life and is very good at helping one understand this viewpoint.  Readers will enjoy the writing, typesetting, cover art and hand-drawn illustrations and graphs.
